Value of Membership
The value of a YMCA membership goes beyond gym and swim. When you join the Y, you don't just join a gym, you join a family. With a YMCA membership you have access to the following full – service facilities: West St. Tammany YMCA in Covington, LA and the East Jefferson Family YMCA in Metairie, LA.

Payment Options
Your membership dues can be paid in one of two ways:
Monthly: Automatic draft from checking or saving account, debit or credit card done each month on the first (1st) or the fifteenth (15th) depending on when you join.
Annual: Cash, Check, or credit/debit card
Under the automatic draft monthly payment plan, you pay an initial joiner's fee. You then authorize the YMCA and your bank to automatically withdraw monthly dues from your checking or savings account, debit or credit card. Monthly dues continue as long as you are a member. There will be a $25 fee applied to all drafts returned including NSF ( Non Sufficient Funds), lost or stolen cards, and incorrect account information.
You can discontinue your monthly draft by giving the YMCA 30-days notice in writing. You will be drafted one more time during that 30 day period.
Membership dues are subject to change with 30-day notice to members.
Open Doors Membership Program
This membership program offers an income based scale that is designed too fit the financial situation of each individual and family in our community, We want everyone to be involved with the YMCA programs and services that help develop and maintain healthy families – especially during life’s difficult times.

- Group Fitness classes including Pilates, Boot Camp, Step and Aquatics, Zumba (adult & children), Yoga etc.
- Unlimited Use – Fitness Center equipped with cardiovascular machines, weight machines, and full array of free weights
- Unlimited use of outdoor pool for lap and recreational swimming (April through September)
- Reduced youth program fees for summer day camp, holiday camps, swim lessons, youth sports, teen programs, Parent’s Night Out and children’s birthday / pool parties
- Reduced rental fee for YMCA Family Pavilion and Activity Center (West St. Tammany facility only)
- Preferred registration for certification classes for lifeguards, first aid and CPR
- Away Program – “Always Welcome At YMCA’s” Free or reduced guest fee for use of other YMCA’s across the country (subject to local policies)
Guest Pass Policy
Guest pass participants are expected to adhere to all YMCA policies. Guest pass privileges may be limited during peak hours.

12 & older: $8.00
11 & under: $5.00 (must be accompanied by an adult)
East Jefferson Family YMCA
14 & older: $8.00
13 & under: $5.00 (must be accompanied by an adult)
Program Membership
Program members are required to pay a $25 annual registration fee to participate in YMCA programs such as Youth Sports, Swim Lessons, Day Camp, etc. See a Member Services staff for more information.
