Lace Up for Literacy: Family Fun at the Corporate Classic 5K!

Mark your calendars and make plans to join the Corporate Classic 5K at City Park’s Practice Track in New Orleans! Presented by the Crescent City Classic and the YMCA of Greater New Orleans, this 3.1-mile race is more than just a fitness event — it’s a celebration of community, family, and the power of education.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or a parent with a stroller, this event is for you. Kids ages 11 and under can enjoy the free Kids Corner, complete with supervised activities and bouncy houses — so the whole family can take part!

After crossing the finish line, stick around for a lively post-race party, featuring live music, complimentary food, and refreshing beverages including beer for adults.

But this event isn’t just about fun and fitness — it’s about making a difference. All proceeds support YMCA Education Services (YES!), which provides free adult literacy classes across Greater New Orleans. These essential programs help adults gain skills in reading, writing, math, digital literacy, and prepare for the HiSET/GED exam — opening doors to employment and personal growth.
